Disney Cruise Line’s Future Cruise Credits Extended to May 31, 2022

To offer guests more flexibility, Disney Cruise Line announced a 2-month extension for their Future Cruise Credits (FCC). For those who had cruises cancelled due to COVID-19, and previously offered a choice of either a future cruise credit equal to 25%, 125% or 150% of their original voyage fare to be used by March 31, 2022 or a full refund. Disney is now extending the use of the FCCs to sailings that depart by May 31, 2022.

Disney says the credits have been automatically applied to impacted accounts. Guests with a 125% or 150% future cruise credit, can apply this as a payment option when booking a new reservation online beginning August 7, 2020. For anyone with a 25% future cruise credit, it can be used as a payment option beginning tomorrow August 7, 2020. Any remaining future cruise credit will be applied as non-refundable onboard credit. However, it is worth calling because we have been able to move this to another booking.

The extension includes options to sail past the current announced sail dates which are currently available through Fall 2021 – If you don’t see anything you like now there will be more sailings announced at a later date.

The fine print for the various levels, 25%, 125%, and 150% of Future Cruise Credit are as follows:

*The Future Cruise Credit is equal to 25% of your clients’ original voyage fare.  The FCC is only valid for sailings commencing prior to May 31, 2022. Your clients’ original reservation must be paid in full to be eligible for the FCC. The FCC is applied per person and is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value. Standard prevailing rates apply and Guests are responsible for any balance due after the FCC has been applied. If your clients end up not being able to use the FCC, they will be eligible for a refund up to the amount of their original voyage fare. Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply to future sailings. Guests who previously received a FCC are not eligible for an additional FCC.

*The Future Cruise Credit is equal to 125% of your clients’ original voyage fare plus the cost of Vacation Protection Plan, if applicable.  The FCC is only valid for sailings commencing prior to May 31, 2022. Your clients’ original reservation must be paid in full to be eligible for the FCC. The FCC is applied per person and is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value. If your clients end up not being able to use the FCC, they will be eligible for a refund up to the amount of their original voyage fare. Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply to future sailings. Guests who previously received a FCC are not eligible for an additional FCC.

We just got our FCC for our Nov EBPC cruise. I noticed the 125% is based on the cruise fare only…not taxes and fees. I assume the taxes and fees will just be refunded to me, but can someone confirm? Thanks.

Yes you will be refunded for taxes and fees. My DCL cruises in April and November were cancelled and I opted for FCC. I received my refund for the first cruise, and the refund for the November cruise has been processed.

    Wendy,
My taxes and fees from cancelled cruises were refunded to original forms of payment.
