Epcot International Food & Wine Festival 2019

The 2019 International Food & Wine Festival is underway at Epcot and will run through November 23rd. This year’s festival will span Halloween on the High Seas and Very MerryTime cruises as it has been expanded to 87-day.

To help navigate the countless booths, Disney offers an Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Passport which provides a summary of almost everything you will encounter around Future World and World Showcase. The festival passports are available almost everywhere you look once you enter through the touchpoints at Epcot. I know there are a lot of planners out there so here is the park map with all the festival locations, and below you will find a PDF version of the passport to study and plan your visit to the festival.

We just scratched the surface during our first few visits, there is so much more we want to try. Below you will find some of the items we tried.

In the Canada Pavilion, the circle-vision film with Martin Short is no longer showing. The space is being used for a large air conditioned escape, I mean Appleseed Orchard. The orchard features wine, beer, and cider flights along with maple syrup samples and a few food offerings highlighted by the popcorn which is still on our list to try.

One of our favorite items year after year is the Artist Palate of Wine & Cheese found at the Wine & Dine Studio booth in Future World West.

Although there are plenty of Food & Wine booths open around the park, my personal favorite aspect of the festival is the pizza window at Via Napoli Pizzeria e Ristorante is open serving up a generous plate of pizza.

To cool off during the festival, Shimmering Sips across from Port of Entry offers a delicious strawberry soft serve in a dipped waffle cone.

An Epcot festival is never complete until we participate in the scavenger hunt. During the Food & Wine Festival, you can search World Showcase pavilions for Remy. Remy’s Hide & Squeak is a $6.99 activity that is just as much for for us adults as it is for the kids. As a prize you are awarded a choice of 4 different tumblers. By the way, this is considered merchandise. So, if you have a pass, membership, or some sort of credential that gets you a discount on Disney merchandise you can save on this activity.

Over the weekend, due to the threat of Hurricane Dorian, Remy was moved to inside locations and will be moved outside once the weather improves.

If you happen to have a few days around Walt Disney World before or after a cruise with some time and theme park admission, I’d recommend checking out the festival.

Have you visited Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival? What was your favorite items?

We are booked on the October 27th NY to Bahamas cruise with a stop at PC for WDW. We will be there on Halloween starting at the MK and then heading to EPCOT. How long would you say the Remy Hunt is? We will have a bunch of kids with us.

Some are easy to spot, some are more challenging. Time wise, I guess if everyone was involved and helped the kids look in the right areas then it should take as much time as it takes your group to walk around the park.
