Disney Cruise Line just announced some big news for Marvel fans. Captain Marvel will be joining the epic line-up of super heroes aboard the Disney Magic in 2019 during the Marvel Day at Sea cruises. That’s right, the Disney Magic will have yet another Captain.
Disney Cruise Line guests will be the first to meet Captain Marvel when she makes her debut during Marvel Day at Sea. For the first time ever, guests will encounter one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel universe as part of an action-packed, day-long celebration aboard during the following Disney Magic sailings from Miami during early 2019.

Captain Marvel joins the Marvel Day at Sea cast of Super Heroes and villains, including Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Loki, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange and more. In addition to these heroic encounters, Marvel Day at Sea features an extraordinary deck show spectacular, themed youth activities, special merchandise, and unique food and beverage offerings.
At this time, there are two Heroic Encounter meet and greets offered to pre-book online Mission: New York which mentions Captain America, Iron Man, Spider Man, and Black Panther, and a separate one for Groot. Last year, the New York meet and greet included Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Iron Man. With Captain America moving to Mission: New York, I suspect, Captain Marvel might be taking over Cap’s meet and greet location outside the Walt Disney Theatre.

Ticketed or no?
I know as of this morning there is no option to book it for my 2/17 cruise.
From what I’ve heard from those within booking windows, the 2 Heroic Encounters do not mention Captain Marvel. I updated the post this info as well as my speculation.
