New Pre-Post Cruise Port Adventures in New York feature Frozen and the New Amsterdam Theatre

Disney Cruise Line recently added some new pre- and post-cruise Broadway centric Port Adventures for guests to enjoy when sailing the Disney Magic from New York. The new offerings are highlighted by FROZEN the Broadway Musical, guests can choose to one of two options to see the new musical in a mezzanine or an orchestra seat at Broadway’s legendary St. James Theatre.

Another option is a Behind the Magic tour at the New Amsterdam Theatre which guests can go behind the magic and discover the original props, costumes and set pieces that bring the world of Disney to life on the stage. Guests will get an up close view of the original costumes and props from past and current Disney Productions, not available to the general public.The theatre built in 1903 was once the home of the legendary Ziegfeld Follies and Eva LeGallienne’s Civic Repertory Theatre. In 1995, it was leased by the Walt Disney Corporation and renovated by Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer. Both the Beaux Arts exterior and the art nouveau interior of the building are New York City landmarks. Along with the Lyceum Theatre, the New Amsterdam is the oldest surviving Broadway venue.

In addition to these new offerings, there are additional returning Broadway pre- and post-cruise offerings from Disney Cruise Line which give guests the opportunity to see Disney’s Aladdin and Lion King productions.
