Guests recently aboard the Disney Dream were treated to a set of refreshed dessert menus featuring a signature item in each main dinning room. The new dessert offerings in Royal Palace, Enchanted Garden and Animator’s Palate are very similar and to some extent identical to the dessert menus found aboard the Disney Wonder following her fall 2016 dry dock.
The noticeable change to the dessert menus is the removal of the Sweet Temptations offering for a Signature dessert item in each restaurant.

Royal Palace
The Royal Palace menu is identical to the menu offered in Triton’s during our cruise aboard the Disney Wonder in February.
- Grand Mariner Souffle – served with Grand Marnier Creme Anglaise
- Apple Tart Tatin – Caramelized Baked Apple served with Vanilla Ice Cream
- Tahitian Vanilla Creme Brûlée – with Almond Biscotti (Gluten Free without Biscotti)
- Strawberry Shortcake Sundae – Strawberries, Vanilla Ice Cream, Whipped Cream and Shortcake
Signature Dessert
- Classic Opera Gateau – Layers of Joconde Sponge, soaked in Coffee Syrup, Chocolate Ganache and Rich Buttercream
No Sugar Added Dessert
- Duo Chocolate Slice – layers of Brownie and Truffle Mousse with a Berry Creme
Animator’s Palate
Just like Royal Palace, the AP menu is identical to the menu offered during our cruise aboard the Disney Wonder in February.
- Crunch Walnut Cake – Dark Chocolate Mousse and Raspberry Coulia
- Chocolate Fudge Cheesecake – creamy Vanilla Cheesecake with a Chocolate Fudge base
- Cookies ‘n Cream Sundae – Cookies & Cream Ice Cream with Chocolate Sauce and Chocolate Chip Cookie
- Apple Crumble Rice Pudding – with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Signature Dessert
- Lemon Icebox Pie – served with Lemon Curd and Berry Creme
No Sugar Added Dessert
- Deconstructed Carrot Cake – a classic cake with a twist
Enchanted Garden
The Enchanted Garden dessert menu is where we see some changes since this restaurant is not on the Disney Wonder. However, the new Enchanted Garden menu borrows a couple items from Tiana’s Place, the Pecan Tart and Lemon Raspberry Mousse. I’m sad to report, the beignets are still exclusive to the Wonder.
- Warm Sticky Date Pudding – served with butterscotch sauce, vanilla ice cream and phyllo crunch
- Chocolate Garden Torte – with coffee creme and caramel soil
- Orange Yogurt Cake – with citrus syrup and vanilla sauce
- Chocolate Brownie Sundae – Peanut butter brownie bites with rich chocolate ice cream whipped cream, and chocolate fudge sauce
Signature Dessert
- Souther Style Pecan Tart – with Bourbon Caramel Sauce
No Sugar Added Dessert
- Lemon Raspberry Mousse Bombe – Citrus lemon mousse embedded with fresh raspberries
What do you think about the refreshed dessert menus with signature dessert options replacing the sweet temptations in each restaurant?
They all look delicious, but I am sad to see the sweet temptations off the menu. The majority of the time that was my top desert choice to taste everything, but not overindulge.
The Sweet Temptations was always my go to dessert as well. Maybe it’s too much work in the kitchen to put those together?
I really miss the Sweet Temptations too! It was really hard on the Wonder in November trying to figure out what to try. I have a huge sweet tooth, and I can already see that at Enchanted Garden I will be getting 3 full sized desserts. We are on a short cruise so we won’t have the option this time of a 2nd rotation through the restaurants. BOO!!!
I think it is a great addition to the menus and I look forward to this being rolled out over the entire line. I for one am pleased to see sweet temptations bite the dust.

As long as the Royal Palace still has the Grand Marnier Souffle …..I don’t care what else they do. I do agree with Kate though. After a great filling meal it was nice to have the option of a small bite of three different desserts.
Sad to see the sweet temptations go. Guess I will just have to be getting 2 or 3 desserts to try everything.
Do you anticipate these signature desserts be on the Fantasy also?
The menus have been relatively similar if not the same across the fleet. I think it is only a matter of time before the change occurs on the Fantasy. Most likely time would be following the upcoming dry dock.
Thank goodness the soufflé is still at RP. That’s the best dessert on the menu. I did think the Make Your Own Pie at AP was fun though.
I much prefer the Grand Mariner soufflé to Palo’s chocolate.
Yet another menu with no gluten-free desserts. As a Celiac, I don’t mind terribly (I’m used to not getting to have dessert), but it always stresses out my servers that they can’t offer me anything, and then I’m stressed trying to reassure them it’s ok. Even my favorite server, who we’ve had for 14 nights total and absolutely adore, was stressed one night when all he could offer was a scoop of chocolate ice cream – he actually apologized when he brought it out, feeling it wasn’t “special” enough, and I had to reassure him I was happy because it was chocolate, no biggie.
Jennifer, I know it is not really solving the problem, but the Tahitian Vanilla Creme Brûlée is listed as gluten free if ordered without the Almond Biscotti.
