The lobby atrium is one of my favorite locations on each ship. Last week, we were lucky enough to be sailing on the Disney Fantasy during her first holiday season. The first thing you will see as you enter the lobby while your family is announced is the gorgeous, albeit unlit, Christmas tree flanking Royal Court. The Fine Details of the Fantasy’s Chandelier in Black & White
Previously, I wrote about the Atrium Lobby of the Disney Fantasy. I had quite a few images that missed the final cut, but still deserved time in the spotlight. This angled shot of the chandelier was originally going to be a vivid color representation. The colors were indeed quite vibrant, but the details were quickly overshadowed by the rainbow of colors. It’s All in the Details: The Atrium Lobby of the Disney Fantasy
A cornerstone philosophy, at The Walt Disney Company, is that you never get a second chance to make a first impression. The Imagineers know they have just a few seconds to make a positive first impression, which is why all guest’s board the ship through the glorious, 3-deck Atrium Lobby. The magic begins when your family name is announced over the lobby speakers and a cast member personally welcomes your family on board the Disney Fantasy. At this point, it is almost impossible to take in all the Art Nouveau-inspired details incorporated into the atrium lobby.
