The atrium lobby of the re-imagined Disney Magic saw some major changes during her extensive dry dock in 2013. For those that may not realize that one of the staircases was removed, the Chihuly chandelier replaced and Helmsman Mickey repositioned, take a minute to look at the atrium in her previous state.

Happy Halloween! This year, Disney Cruise Line took it up a notch with Halloween on the High Seas cruises. The Halloween sailings were fleet wide, with marquee experiences featured exclusively on the Disney Dream. The Disney Dream’s atrium lobby railings were decorated with garland adorned with changing fall leaves on a purple background. The focal point of the atrium was not Admiral Donald or the Chandelier, but The Pumpkin Tree. Continue reading
The Disney Magic’s transformation at the Navantia shipyard in Cadiz, Spain, is coming to an end this week. According to previous reports from the Disney Parks Blog, the Disney Magic is on schedule and set conclude her time in dry dock on Thursday. Work will continue during her transatlantic crossing. In last week’s update, we saw a ship stripped down to bare steel along with some teasers from Disney Cruise Line. In this week’s update, we see the paint going back on the hull, starting with some primer on the stern.
I thought it was time to visit another lobby, and planned to focus on the Dream with Admiral Donald. However, I’ve already shared the Disney Fantasy twice with the most recent decorated for Christmas.
