Overall this was a great room. We loved the general location, partly between midship and aft. The room was small for 2 adults/2 kids but we were expecting that. The room was in good condition, the verandah was really nice. The bathroom was clean and worked well.

However, I have two complaints; one that would keep me from booking this room again.
1. The alarm clock didn't work well. There was no way actually adjust the time and we couldn't even figure out how to set the alarm. We went through two time changes so it was a bit confusing, without being able to set the correct time. However my guess is this was the same clock in all the rooms and ultimately not a deal breaker.

2. Our room was really creaky. That may sound odd but there was something going on in the ceiling above our bed. You could see where there was a gap between the ceiling and wall in one spot where it looked like someone had actually pried a space there. On the first two days, the sea was rather rough and as a result the boat rocked. When the boat moved more you could hear some sort of creaky noise coming from this spot. It is really hard to explain but the noise became unbearable and wouldn't stop. One night I was up all night because of the loud noise. Finally my husband took a piece of cardboard and wedged it in the gap which seemed to help a bit (perhaps the reason for the gap to begin with?). I'm not sure what is going on with the room but this seemed like an unusual situation. We've stayed on the Fantasy and had no such issues. However I wouldn't book this same room unless I knew this was fixed. If you are a heavy sleeper then perhaps this won't be an issue for you.
