Do you know if they sometimes “add” dates to the schedule? We have a Disney Magic cruise booked over our spring break (end of March 2019) and the similar sailing in 2018 is a Marvel Day at Sea. While not a deal breaker in terms of a vacation, it was something our boys were hoping would happen. Thank you for your help!

So bummed they won’t be continuing the Marvel Day at Sea on the New York cruises at the end of 2018. Sill should be an awesome cruise though!

I agree. I think last year they announced the New York dates first and then added Miami. Hopefully they will decide to add the New York sailings again.

I’m hoping that this is simply a case of lets see if the holiday’s and Spring Break dates sell themselves and then we can come back and announce these dates later to generate some additional interest if its needed. Keeping my fingers crossed but at least there is a Very Merrytime and a Thanksgiving celebration on the cruise we’re on. Haven’t experienced either of those.

I been waiting for this announcement for continuing star wars day at sea for 2019 and happy they did but why only to early march and not to end of April like they usually do? if anything they should extend not shorten the dates. Well anyway never the less im happy and i guess end of February will work for me even though i rather go in April.

My only thought is they determined they did not need to offer these “Days” during the spring break season based on current sales. I wish it extended as we are booked on a March ’19 sailing.

I’m a little surprised by the shortened “seasons.” My guess is that either the cruises aren’t a big hit or DCL wants to be able to jack up the prices for the slower winter season. We did a Marvel sailing in October and will be on a Star Wars sailing this April. Neither cruise was booked “because of” these events.

We booked for March 30, 2019 in hopes that it would be a Star Wars Day at Sea. In year’s past, it has been. Our family has been looking forward to this trip since my husband returned from Afghanistan last October. This was to be a very special, once in a lifetime vacation for us. I do find it interesting that in 2016 (the first year of Star Wars Day at Sea) there were 8 sailings. In 2017 & 2018, there 15 sailings. Suddenly in 2019, it drops back down to only 9 sailings and is only offered January – early March. Why is that?

We’re booked on the same sailing March 30th, 2019 – and had been hoping it’d turn out to be a Star Wars cruise, as well. We were going off of the 2017/2018 sailings for an idea on how long they ran and, since we prefer sailing in April/May, opted for that particular sailing.
I am hoping against hope they’ll add more Star Wars sailings, but I am not going to hold my breath. It’ll be a fun cruise anyways!
