Disney Fantasy 10/8/16 Sailing Altered to a 6-Night Western Caribbean Departing Sunday

Disney Cruise Line announced an itinerary change for the Disney Fantasy resulting from the expected impact of Hurricane Matthew. Saturday October 8, 2016 7-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise has been altered and shortened to a 6-Night Western Caribbean Cruise. Disney is offering guests who choose to stay on this voyage a pro-rated refund equal to the amount of 1-night of their cruise fare and an onboard credit. Guest who would prefer may rebook at a discount or cancel and receive a full refund.

As of this time the DCL Contact center is closed as Central Florida is preparing the arrival of Hurricane Matthew. They plan to reopen on Saturday morning.

At this time, the current Disney Fantasy voyage will be extended an extra day rather than debarking at another port such as Port Everglades. The Fantasy will return to Cozumel tomorrow and spend Saturday at sea. The 6-Night Western Caribbean cruise is scheduled to visit Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay.

If a lot of people cancel their cruise on the Disney Magic out of NYC because it’s going to Canada instead of Bahamas will they offer those rooms today at a discounted rate for last minute cruisers who live nearby and can go? I live an hour away from the port and would love to do an impromptu disney cruise even if it’s in colder weather.

I’ve never sailed on a Disney Cruise before. I’m on the Disney Fantasy Oct. 8th cruise and just discovered it has been altered to a Western cruise (disappointing!!!). More disappointing, I can’t make any adjustments to our excursion activities on the Disney Cruise website. Does anyone know if or when this can this be done (I’d prefer to do this online instead of standing in line on the cruise for a long period of time)? Also, I’m assuming we will get a refund for excursion activities originally scheduled on the now defunct eastern excursions?

You will get a refund on your current excursions. They will have new options for you onboard – it will be too late to do them online.

You won’t need a refund. You aren’t actually charged for an excursion until you actually go on the excursion.
