Disney Cruise Line announced their Winter 2017 itineraries and sail dates earlier today featuring familiar ports in the Caribbean and the Bahamas. The Disney Dream will continue to sail alternating three- and four-night sailings to the Bahamas while the Disney Fantasy will sail 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. The Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will feature itineraries from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Complete details for each ship can be found below. There are a few sailings for the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic I need to verify with regard to port order and generate the missing itinerary maps.
Today’s itinerary announcement extends the sail dates for the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy through May 2017 and late April 2017 for the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.
Although the dates were announced today, booking will not being until October 7, 2015. On Wednesday, Platinum & Gold Castaway Club members will be able to call in or have their travel agents book sailings. On Thursday, October 8th, Silver Castaway Club members as well as first time cruisers will be able to book. I mentioned this yesterday, but it is worth repeating… Please do not try calling today to book; this will just clog up the phone lines and bog down the reservation cast members. There may be people attempting to book an available cruise vacation today.

The specific block-out dates for 2017 are as follows: Disney Magic: 4/9, 4/16; Disney Wonder 4/9, 4/13 and 4/16; Disney Dream: 4/10, 4/14 and 4/17; Disney Fantasy: 4/8 and 4/15. Onboard booking block-out dates will be noted in the detailed itinerary and sail date information below with an *. Click here for a current list of the blocked out sailings.

Disney Fantasy Winter 2017 Sailings
The Disney Fantasy will continue to sail alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral. The Disney Fantasy will be due for her first dry dock in 2017. As it looks now there is an itinerary gap between April 29, 2017 and May 19, 2017, which is a bit longer than the Disney Dream’s 2015 dry dock window. It is possible the specific dates are not finalized and DCL could add one more cruise at either end of this window.

Returning to popular destinations in the Caribbean and Bahamas
CELEBRATION, Fla. (Oct. 6, 2015) – In early 2017, Disney Cruise Line returns to favorite destinations in the Caribbean and Bahamas on a variety of itineraries, most from popular Florida ports. Limited-time engagements in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Galveston, Texas, complete the line-up for the first part of the year.
During these sailings, Disney Cruise Line guests will visit timeless tropical locales, dive into charming island cultures, sunbathe on golden beaches and revel in local marketplaces. Most cruises feature a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests.
Bookings open to the public on Oct. 8, 2015. More details on 2017 itineraries can be found on the Ports and Itineraries for 2017 page of disneycruise.com.
Port Canaveral
With three Disney ships in port and cruise lengths spanning three, four and seven nights, vacationers looking for a Disney Cruise Line getaway in early 2017 have a full menu of options from Port Canaveral. Every sailing includes a day at Castaway Cay.
The Disney Fantasy continues to sail seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages, while the Disney Dream embarks on three- and four-night cruises to Nassau and Castaway Cay. Beginning Jan. 29, the Disney Wonder will alternate similar three- and four-night itineraries.
Miami
To kick off 2017, the Disney Magic continues sailing from Miami with three-, four- and five-night voyages to the Bahamas, plus select five-night Western Caribbean cruises, through March 31.
Castaway Cay awaits guests aboard every one of these Disney Magic sailings. Other Bahamian ports of call include Nassau and Key West, while a stop in Grand Cayman or Cozumel headlines the Western Caribbean itineraries.
San Juan and Galveston
From San Juan, the Disney Magic sets sail on four seven-night cruises to the Southern Caribbean. Departing April 9, 16, 23 and 30, this limited-time engagement includes calls on Barbados, St. Lucia, Martinique, Antigua and St. Kitts.
The Disney Wonder completes a season in Galveston with two seven-night Bahamian voyages to Key West, Castaway Cay and Nassau on Jan. 6 and 13. From there, the ship embarks on a six-night journey to San Juan on Jan. 20 with stops in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Falmouth, Jamaica.
On Jan. 26, a three-night cruise aboard the Disney Wonder takes guests from San Juan to Port Canaveral, just an hour away from Walt Disney World Resort—the perfect stop for a fairytale land and sea adventure.

Scott, thanks for this update – does Disney have a pattern as to how long after this do they release the next portion (spring/summer) 2017 dates?
The current pattern seems to be March, May and October.
The attached brochure did not appear to include 2017 itineraries/dates.
I copy/pasted the incorrect link. It is fixed.
no, now just has cover.jpg that is downloads
Sorry, the link has been fixed.
When I click the image for the brochure, all I am getting is the image to download?
Sorry, it is now fixed.
David here is the pattern from last year – it varies just a bit year by year. I would think for Spring . Summer 2017 probably March of 2016 time frame for release. (Guessing based off past release dates below)
Sailings for October through December 2016 went on sale for Platinum and Gold Castaway Club members on May 19, 2015 and everyone else on May 20, 2015.
Sailings for May through September 2016 went on sale for Platinum and Gold Castaway Club members on March 25, 2015 and everyone else on March 26, 2015.
Sailings for January through April 2016 went on sale for Platinum and Gold Castaway Club members on October 29, 2014 and everyone on October 30, 2014.
Amanda, thanks so much… in know in booking early the better but have you seen the prices go up on the first day of release? (Before released to general public?) Thank you
Hi David, what usually happens is the pricing goes up after the Platinum and Gold book and so the second day for Silver and Public can be higher than if you were Platinum and Gold. So yes, it does go up after it goes public and then as the ship fills the pricing rises too.
Hopefully this isn’t a stupid question, I just became gold this week. I couldn’t find prices anywhere. How can I see the prices and look them over or do I have to call or have my travel agent call tomorrow to get pricing?
Hi James,
Pricing will not show today. It would be best for you to contact your travel agent today to get on their list to call first thing tomorrow morning to get you pricing. As you know, booking earlier the better for pricing. Good luck!
Here are the black out dates for onboard bookings: 2017 block-out dates: Disney Fantasy 4/8, 4/15; Disney Dream 4/10, 4/14, 4/17; Disney Wonder 4/9, 4/13, 4/16;
Disney Magic 4/9, 4/16.
The link to download the brochure still does not work. When I click the picture, all it does it bring forth a picture of the cover and then when clicking the word “download” just brings forth a larger image if the cover that I can save but not the actual PDF file.
Sorry, it is now fixed.
When is the Wonder going in for her big refurbishment? I would love to do February 2017 out of PC but would love to know when that is going to happen.
Current estimate for the Wonder Reimagineering is between Sep 8 and Nov 10, 2016.
Thank you!
Fall 2016.
Does anyone have an opinion on if the Wonder will continue sailing to Alaska after her Reimagineering? Thanks!
The expanded Panama Canal will now be able to accommodate larger (longer) vessels so I’d say there’s a good chance that the Wonder will continue sailing to Alaska (by far my favorite cruise).
So will the Dream ever sail on 7 day voyages? Thoughts?
We went on the Fantasy this year, Magic is scheduled for next year. I was hoping to do all four before repeating. It’s a silly question but I just really like the 7 days better! Plus after the Fantasy, I’m really looking forward to seeing the Dream!
We have just the opposite Ashley, we have been on the Dream 4 times including back to back, but are now looking forward to our first Fantasy cruise in 2017. Enjoy the Dream – she’s a beautiful ship…
Not in the near future. If anything the Dream and the Fantasy could swap, but short of a new ship I do not see the Dream not sailing 3/4 night cruises. Those short cruises are key to a land/sea vacation with WDW.
Have their been any rumors about new ships?
There are always rumors depending on where you look and who you ask. I’ve heard many different stories, some of which from sources I trust. However, I am not going to fuel the fire by sharing new ship rumors without credible, third party evidence to support the claim.
You should name a ship Disney Friends.
I too want to try the Dream but 4 nights is not long enough. Too far to fly to Florida for a 4 nighter. Loved the Fantasy!
Darn STILL no double dips!
A couple years ago, I was aboard the Magic when new itineraries were released. There was an announcement from the cruise director and copies of the new itineraries were placed in our staterooms. This past week, I was aboard the Wonder when these new itineraries were released. Unless I missed it, there was no announcement at all. What a lost opportunity!
Does anyone know if they will release dates for December 2017?

any guesses what the new europe ports will be for summer 2017?
There seems to be a delay in the issue of Summer 2017 itineraries. Any inkling as to when we can expect an announcement? Those of us with high schoolers and tight schedules are eagerly awaiting.
I’m with you JC. My daughter and I are planning on the Wonder to Alaska in July 2017. Here it is almost mid-April and Disney still has not released those itineraries. As long as I know I haven’t missed the initial release, I guess I will just sit back and wait!
Cannot wait til i can book for June 2017!!! October is just too far away!
