11 PM Update | Hurricane Cristobal

Hurricane Cristobal is expected to pass to the west of Bermuda on Wednesday as a hurricane. Presently, Cristobal is producing winds of 75 mph with a reach of 45 miles. Tropical storm force winds are extending out to 205 miles. The forecast track continues to show Cristobal steering away from land.

8:20 PM Update | Tropical Storm Cristobal Becomes a Hurricane

Tropical Storm Cristobal is now the third hurricane of the 2014 season. This is the first time in 22 years that the first three Atlantic storms have become hurricanes.

5 PM Update | Tropical Storm Watch Issued for Bermuda

Tropical Storm Cristobal is moving slowly away from the Bahamas. A tropical storm watch has been issued for Bermuda.

8 AM Update | Tropical Storm Cristobal Strengthening

Tropical Storm Cristobal is slowly moving to the north-northeast at 2 mph. The center is located approximately 120 east-northeast of San Salvador. The minimum central pressure is 993mb. Cristobal is producing maximum sustained winds of 60 mph with tropical storm force winds reaching outward up to 140 miles, primarily to the east.

8 AM Update | Tropical Storm Cristobal Strengthening

Tropical Storm Cristobal is moving to the north at 3 mph. The center is located approximately 115 east-northeast of San Salvador. The observed minimum central pressure was 994mb. Cristobal is strengthening and is now producing maximum sustained winds of 60 mph with tropical storm force winds reaching outward up to 140 miles, primarily to the east.

NHC’s forecast track continues to move Cristobal away from land and although he is expected to reach hurricane strength, landfall is not expected.

5 AM Update | Tropical Storm Cristobal Moving Again

Tropical Storm Cristobal is on the move again to the north at 5 mph. The center is located about 110 east-northeast of San Salvador. The minimum central pressure is down to 994 mb. Cristobal is producing maximum sustained winds of 50 mph with tropical storm force winds are now reaching outward up to 140 miles, primarily to the east.

2 AM Update | Tropical Storm Cristobal Stopped Moving

Tropical Storm Cristobal is now stationary approximately 105 east-northeast of San Salvador. The minimum central pressure is down to 996 mb. Cristobal is producing maximum sustained winds of 50 mph with tropical storm force winds are reaching outward up to 125 miles, primarily to the east.
