Halloween on the High Seas – The Pumpkin Trees Spouting Fleet-wide

Disney Cruise Line launched an all new halloween experience aboard the Disney Dream in 2013 which will be expanded fleet wide in just a few weeks. Each ship will feature a unique pumpkin tree growing in the atrium that, with the help of the passengers, transform during the course each of the Halloween on the High Seas cruises this fall. Rather than just replicating the pumpkin tree from the Disney Dream, DCL commissioned three additional trees, each with their own unique personalities.

The Disney Parks Blog recently shared a first look at the pumpkin trees which are receiving some finishing touches before heading to their respective ships. In the photo below, the pumpkin tree from the Disney Dream is in the back with what appears to be the Disney Magic’s tree in the foreground.

We are sailing on the Wonder on October 1st. While our cruise is during the time of “Haloween on the High Seas” the Disney website does not list our itinerary ( key west and two stops at Castaway Cay) as a participating cruise. Not sure if their will be any Halloween activities or not.

Our family is also on the Fantasy September 6 sailing – 5 cabins for us and all our children and grandchildren. It will be their first Disney cruise! We were so excited when we found out it is also a Halloween cruise. Can’t wait! 12 days away, and may the hurricanes and tropical storms stay away!
