Tropical Storm Arthur Prompts Disney Dream to Alter Current Itinerary

According to Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Dream altered its current itinerary as a result of Tropical Storm Arthur. The Disney Dream is currently on the final day of a 4-Night Bahamian cruise which began at Port Canaveral on Sunday. Today, was a scheduled day at sea, but due to the conditions in the area resulting from the tropical storm, the Disney Dream will spend the day at Castaway Cay.

Tropical Storm Arthur is expected to continue moving north, and should not impact the Disney Dream’s turnover day on Thursday at Port Canaveral. However, a spokesperson for Disney Cruise Line told us that they are monitoring Tropical Storm Arthur very closely, and the safety of the guests and crew members are top priority. If necessary, DCL’s Captains are always prepared to alter the ships’ courses or itinerary to navigate away from inclement weather for the safety and well-being of our guests and crew.

The Disney Fantasy’s current 7-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary is progressing as scheduled with scheduled calls at Castaway Cay on Friday before returning to Port Canaveral early Satruday morning.

I hate to be the English police, but you wrote “the Disney Dream altered it’s current itinerary… .” The word “it’s” is the contraction for “it is”. Accordingly, you wrote “the Disney Dream altered it is current itinerary…”, which makes no sense. The word “its” is the possessive that you should have used in your post.

Please take no offense. You have a great blog!
