Pompidou’s Patisseries Dessert Experience Now Available at Remy Aboard the Disney Fantasy

Disney Cruise Line has officially started to market the Remy Dessert Experience.  We saw a sign advertising it on our early March sailing on the Fantasy while in the Cove Cafe. The new dessert experience is being called Remy Presents Pompidou’s Patisseries Dessert Experience. I’m going to keep it simple and just refer to it as the Remy dessert experience going forward. However, the name is inspired by the dessert chef from the film Ratatouille.

The adult-only dessert experience will treat your taste buds to a sweet selection of delectable desserts. The experience will feature a 5-course dessert menu, coffee and an in-depth discussion with the Executive Chef and Executive Pastry Chef of Remy. As each dessert is presented, they’ll explain the history and evolution of the dessert. The Remy dessert experience is $50.00 per person. Guests may also select to add a Champagne Pairing to their dining experience for $25.00 per person. Guests may book this experience at Guest Services onboard your next cruise.

Remy Presents Pompidou's Patisseries A Dessert Experience

During our early March sailing, the Remy Dessert experience was offered on Thursday afternoon between 3:30 – 4:30 PM. The official description from DCL states the event is offered while the ship is at sea during cruises of 4-nights or longer and to check the Personal Navigator once onboard for specific dates and times. It is unclear at this time if the experience will be carried over to the 5-night sailings on the Disney Dream in the summer of 2015. I reached out to Disney Cruise Line to see if this is the case. We’ve been informed the experience is exclusive to the Disney Fantasy and unavailable on the Disney Dream. Additionally, we were told that the new experience runs about 90-minutes. Space is limited to 36 people, guests 18 years and older.

The dress code for the Remy Dessert Experience mirrors brunch. Men are required to wear dress pants and a shirt & a jacket is optional. Women are asked to wear a dress or pantsuit.  Jeans, shorts, capri pants, sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes are not permitted for either.

We enjoyed Remy Brunch just before this was offered on our sailing, and we opted to pass on the experience to take our daughter to the Frozen Sing-A-Long. Sadly, we are unable to share more details at this time, but if you have had the opportunity to try this new experience please share with us your experience in the comments below.

UPDATE: Remy Desert Party is offered while the ship is at sea during cruises of 4 nights or longer.
