Disney Magic Appears to be Sailing to Norway in 2015

For the first time in forever, the Disney Magic will be sailing the Norwegian Fjords based on a port calendar in Geiranger, Norway that was last updated on Tuesday February 25th. The rumors have been swirling for quite some time, but until now there has not been much evidence of the Disney Magic in the Northern Europe. Based on the Geiranger port calendar the Disney Magic will make calls on June 10, 2015 and June 24, 2015. This suggest the Disney Magic will sail a few cruises in Northern Europe in June 2015.

Disney Magic Norway Fjords Geiranger 2015 Calendar

According to a brochure from the port authority, Geiranger is a well-known and well-functioning tender port with 3–4 anchor positions depending on the size of ship. There are plans for new shore-going arrangements. Geiranger is rated the best cared for Unesco World Heritage Site by National Geographic Traveller.

I would not be surprised if the sailings are tied in with an Adventures By Disney Norway Vacation further capitalizing on the success of Disney’s Frozen.

Already ready to book this. Fantastic, been wanting to do a Fjords cruise for some time, pumped that it will be on DCL. Might be our first one as Platinum members.

Point of order: how will they do fireworks from the ship if the sun only sets for an hour between 2-3am? 🙂

That’s Oslo 2010 and we also moored up there, there were 4 cruises. Nice city, great museums and when we were there that fort she’s next to was closed due to renovation.

We also went in 2010 on the Magic….12 night cruise which overnighted in St Petersburg. it was beyond amazing. weather was perfect, the ports incredible (ice bar in Stockholm baby, Russian ballet in st.petersburg). we have been thinking they’d be back up that way!

I was in the Norway Pavilion today. I wanted to talk to some of the Cast members about Norway since I am going there this Summer on Holland America – 28 days to Norway/Baltic. I had given up on Disney. The Cast Members asked me if I was going on the Disney ship and I said, “No”. They said oh that is too bad as Disney is sailing there in 2015. Just might need to do the trip to the Fjords twice. Hope this rumor is true.
