Unique Valentine’s Day Events Scheduled Aboard the Disney Fantasy

If you are sailing on the Disney Fantasy’s Valentine’s Day cruise this year you are in for a treat! The Disney Fantasy will sail from Port Canavera on February 8th on an Eastern Caribbean cruise with three relaxing days at sea along with stops in St Maarten, St Thomas and Castaway Cay. During the seven night voyage, Disney Senior Character Artist, Don “Ducky” Williams will be on hand for various art events.

For those with a sweet tooth, David Funaro, Godiva’s Senior Chef Chocolatier will be on hand for a week of exciting Godiva chocolate themed events. Chef David is a member of Godiva’s Research & Development team and focuses on creating new chocolate and pastry products that are innovative in their ingredients, flavor, texture and craftsmanship for Godiva markets worldwide.

While this may be short notice, I did a quick check on DCL’s website and there are still staterooms available. For more details on these events you will need to check the Personal Navigator once onboard.

Hopefully, the Valentine sailings on the other ships will have the Godiva events (albeit with a different representative). And, hopefully all ships will also have Ducky’s graphics for sale or as stateroom gifts. If not, maybe these will be part of the Spring eCompass newsletter? Finally, perhaps if the theme is successful, the rollout to the fleet (similar to the Halloween cruises) will happen for 2015!

It is one of our dreams to take a cruise with Ducky. They never seem to let anyone know in advance which cruises he will be on, sadly. How did you find out, Scott? Thanks (and I enjoy your blog so much, thank you!) – Leslie

The event information was published by Disney on Wednesday. I agree, it would be be nice to have a better lead time on special events like such as the Valentine’s Day events. However, this could have been intended as surprise to guests sailing, or it was simply a late addition.

Scott – “long time listener, first time caller” – I really appreciate all of the time and effort you put into this site.

The Feb 8th sailing will be my family’s 2nd Disney cruise and, if I wasn’t already excited enough, the fact that I will have the chance to be around Ducky Williams has put this trip over the top for me. In the words of Barney Stinson, this sailing is going to be legen – wait for it – dary.
