A Closer Look at Family Entertainment Arriving This Fall to the Reimagined Disney Magic

Disney Cruise Line has released a new video today, hosted by David Duffy, offering a sneak peak at the enhancements to the Family Entertainment venues aboard the reimagined Disney Magic.  Overall, there is not really any new information in this video aside from a few confirmations that the same three stage shows will resume in October along with the Sail Away and Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Parties.

D-Lounge

The main change with regard to the family spaces will be the rebranding of Studio Sea which will emerge from dry dock as D-Lounge. This name change will bring this family entertainment venue on the Disney Magic in line with her younger sisters, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.  D-Lounge is the central location for all families looking for a dance part, Disney inspired game shows, and karaoke!

Walt Disney Theatre

The Walt Disney Theatre on the Disney Magic will continue to offer guests the opportunity so see broadways style shows including; Villains Tonight!, Twice Charmed: An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story, and Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic.

Upper Deck

The upper deck, or pool decks will continue to offer guests the Adventures Away Sail Away Celebration to kick off each and every cruise in true Disney fashion culminating in the sounding of the iconic ship’s horn.  And last, but not least on the eve of Talk Like a Pirate Day, the upper decks on the reimagined Disney Magic will host the Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party complete with fireworks at sea (on most sailings!)

I’d love to see a version of the Muppet Show for the opening night of longer cruises. It would work well as a variety show to mix in the various guest performers on the sailing.
