We were passengers of the Disney Dream cruise that departed on October 25th. I am still wondering why they decided to still go on with the trip when other cruise lines were cancelling theirs, especially when there are more children involved. I traveled with a family of four and two other families and the kids were all miserable. The pools and slides were closed and there were no stops because of the storm. Many people were sick and upset and all they could offer was 25% off the next trip?? Are you kidding me?? We spent so much money for this dream vacation that had me wishing that I just stayed home. Disney should of really thought about the safety of their passengers and rescheduled.. They should really consider offering free trips if they do not want to loose many customers.

We were on the dream for a three night cruise a trip we planned months for and viewed it as a trip of a lifetime… Instead it was opposite from get go after leaving port the aqua duck was shut down and not reopened. The pool water were soo rough that only bigger kids and adults could get in. Fr. And Saturday the top deck was shut due to constant winds of 65-75 mph. The seas we constantly choppy and rough ppl were getting sick everywhere. I’m not sure why we didn’t stay near south Florida instead of trailing behind the storm Saturday and Saturday night! We were unable to get off any ports and Saturday was the WORST NIGHT!! I know it’s not the crews fault but it seems better decisions could have been made we stayed in bed in our room 75% of time bc of seasickness! I was dissatisfied by the whole thing yes no one suffered bodily harm but it was still a constant mental and physical strain on my families costly dream vacation.

  • I was on the Fantasy, it was dangerous. Did the Dream passengers get ordered to their staterooms for safety?

    Thanks

No we did not get ordered to but we should have the last night. The boat was swaying so bad that we had trouble walking and my toddler kept falling everywhere.
